What is Mighty K9 and who makes it?
What is Mighty K9 for dogs?
Mighty K9 is a liquid supplement for dogs: organic extra virgin olive oil carrying ESS60, a branded C60, plus bacon flavor. Each 2 fl oz (60 mL) bottle gives 30 servings of 2 mL. The sales page sells it for joint comfort and mobility.
Who makes Mighty K9?
The bottle names the brand Mighty-K9, which sells it on its own store at mighty-k9.com. This website is run by Mymightyk9, the U.S. stocking partner, not the manufacturer. We earn money on orders placed through our links.
Is Mighty K9 legit or a scam?
It is a real product with a full label: three ingredients, a printed ESS60 amount and printed calories. What is missing is proof for the joint claims. Judge it as an untested supplement, not as a scam and not as a medicine.
Is Mighty K9 FDA approved?
No. Mighty K9 is not FDA approved, and it does not need to be: FDA does not pre-approve pet foods (FDA, Pet Food). A product sold to treat or prevent disease would legally be an animal drug (FDA, Unapproved Animal Drugs), so the sales page talks about comfort instead.
What does the Mighty K9 sales page claim?
It claims joint comfort, cartilage and connective tissue support, easier movement and less stiffness after lying down. It also calls the antioxidant 172 times more powerful than vitamin C, with no source given. See each claim checked.
Dose and use
How much Mighty K9 should I give my dog?
How much Mighty K9 do I give my dog?
Give 2 mL once a day, mixed into food, per the label. That is two full droppers, about 0.4 teaspoon. The brand publishes no amounts by body weight, so ask your vet about small or toy dogs.
How do I give Mighty K9 to my dog?
Measure 2 mL with the dropper, drizzle it over the meal and stir it in. Use the same meal each day so you do not forget. The bacon flavor helps picky eaters. See how to use it.
Can I give a big dog more than 2 mL?
Do not go above the 2 mL serving unless your vet says so. The brand's calculator lists size groups from XS to XL but gives no amount for any of them. Every extra drop also adds fat calories.
How long does one bottle of Mighty K9 last?
One bottle lasts one dog 30 days. It holds 60 mL, which is 30 servings of 2 mL at one serving a day. Two dogs on a full serving each would finish it in about 15 days.
How should I store Mighty K9?
Keep it closed in a cool, dark place, as the label says. A 2021 mouse study found C60 in olive oil breaks down in light into products that made mice ill (Grohn et al., 2021). Store it out of reach of children and pets.
Ingredients and ESS60
What is in Mighty K9, and what is ESS60?
What are the ingredients in Mighty K9?
Three: extra virgin olive oil, ESS60 and bacon flavor, in that label order. Each 2 mL serving has 1.6 mg of ESS60. The source of the bacon flavor is not listed. Read more on all three ingredients.
What is ESS60 for dogs?
ESS60 is a registered trademark of SES Research Inc. for C60, a hollow ball of 60 carbon atoms (USPTO via Justia, ESS60). It is a brand name for a C60 ingredient, not a separate substance. No controlled study has tested it on dog joints.
What does Contains 100% ESS60 mean on the bottle?
It means the C60 in the oil is the ESS60 brand. It does not mean the bottle is pure ESS60. Each 2 mL serving holds 1.6 mg of ESS60 in olive oil, which is 0.8 mg per mL.
Is there real bacon in Mighty K9?
The label does not say. AAFCO rules allow the words bacon flavor when an ingredient gives that taste (AAFCO, Reading Labels), and this flavor's source is not listed. If your dog has food allergies, ask the seller what it is made from.
Is daily olive oil okay for my dog?
Many owners do, but olive oil is pure fat. In one Italian study it was the oil owners added most, and added oil was linked with food reactions, though not proven to cause them (Maina & Cox, 2025). Count the calories.
How many calories are in Mighty K9?
Each 2 mL serving has 16.2 kcal, all from fat. WSAVA keeps treats and extras under 10% of daily calories, about 47 kcal for a 10 kg (22 lb) dog (WSAVA, Feeding treats). One serving uses about a third of that.
Safety and your vet
Is Mighty K9 safe for my dog?
Is C60 safe for dogs?
Nobody knows for the long term. The only dog data is 6 beagles for 9 days on a different C60 oil (Hui et al., 2023). A 14-day rat study found no harm at 3.8 mg/kg a day, but SES Research funded it and two authors co-own that company (Burres et al., 2024).
Does Mighty K9 have side effects?
The label lists none. As a fatty oil, loose stools or an upset stomach are the likely issues. Large amounts of fatty food are a suspected pancreatitis trigger (Merck Vet Manual, Pancreatitis (owner)), so ask your vet first if your dog has had pancreatitis. See side effects.
Can puppies take Mighty K9?
The sales FAQ says it suits all ages but to check with a vet first for puppies under six months. A puppy is small, so 16.2 kcal of oil is a bigger share of its day.
Can I give Mighty K9 with Rimadyl or other NSAIDs?
Ask your vet first. No interaction study exists. Dogs on vet NSAIDs are watched for vomiting, poor appetite, diarrhea and kidney or liver harm (FDA, Pain Relievers for Pets), and a new product makes it harder to tell what caused a change.
Can I give my dog ibuprofen or aspirin for joint pain?
No. Never give ibuprofen, naproxen, aspirin or acetaminophen without your vet. FDA warns these may not be safe for pets (FDA, Pain Relievers for Pets). If your dog swallowed one, call ASPCA Animal Poison Control at (888) 426-4435 (ASPCA Animal Poison Control).
When should my dog see a vet instead of trying a supplement?
Book a visit if your dog limps, cries out, suddenly will not walk or stops eating. Slow rising and trouble with stairs deserve an exam too, because pain is often mistaken for normal aging (AAHA Senior Care Guidelines, 2023).
What if my dog drinks a lot of Mighty K9?
The label says to contact a health professional right away after an accidental overdose. For a dog, call your vet or ASPCA Animal Poison Control, open 24/7, where a fee may apply (ASPCA Animal Poison Control). Keep the bottle for the lot number.

Order nowResults and evidence
Does Mighty K9 work, and what does the evidence say?
Does Mighty K9 really work for dogs?
No study shows that it does. There is no controlled trial of C60 or ESS60 in dogs. The only dog study measured one blood marker in 6 beagles over 9 days, with no control group (Hui et al., 2023). Nobody measured joints or walking.
How long before I can judge Mighty K9?
The sales FAQ says owners often notice changes in two to three weeks and full results between weeks eight and twelve. Those dates come from the seller, not a study. Note that 8 to 12 weeks runs past the 30-day money-back window.
Where does the C60 longevity claim come from?
From one small 2012 rat study: C60 in olive oil, with an estimated median lifespan of 42 months vs 22 months for water-fed rats, about six rats per group (Baati et al., 2012). A larger 2021 mouse study found no gain, 145 vs 144 weeks (Grohn et al., 2021).
Does olive oil help dogs with arthritis?
No dog joint study of olive oil was found. Fish oil omega-3 is different and has the best evidence: on an omega-3 food, 82% of dogs bore more weight on sore legs vs 38% of controls (Roush et al., 2010).
What is the best joint supplement for senior dogs?
No supplement beats a lean body. Lean-fed Labradors showed hip arthritis on X-ray at a median 12 years vs 6 (Smith et al., 2006). Omega-3 has the strongest supplement evidence; glucosamine and chondroitin showed no pain-relief effect in 88.9% of trials (Barbeau-Gregoire et al., 2022).
How can I tell if Mighty K9 is helping my dog?
Write down a baseline before day one: time to stand up, stairs, jumping into the car and walk length. Check the same things each week. Note changes in weight, food or medicine, since those can explain a difference too.
Is Mighty K9 an arthritis treatment?
No. It is not a veterinary drug and not a pain reliever. Close to 40% of dogs have arthritis, and AAHA lists vet NSAIDs and omega-3-enriched diets as first-tier care, with other supplements in tier 3 (AAHA Pain Guidelines, 2022).

This website and reviews
Who runs this website, and are the reviews real?
Who runs mymightyk9.com?
Mymightyk9, the U.S. stocking partner for Mighty K9. We are not the maker, and we are paid when you buy through our order links. The site puts the label, prices and evidence in one place. See about us.
Are there real Mighty K9 reviews?
Not verified ones yet. We show no star rating, count or customer quote until reviews are matched to real orders. The sales page shows large customer counts we cannot verify, so we leave them out. See how we check reviews.

Not yet. Our editorial team writes them from the label, the brand store and linked veterinary sources. The review box shows fill-in fields until a licensed veterinarian actually reviews the pages, and we never print a reviewer who has not.
Can the website email help with my order?
No. [email protected] handles pages, typos, privacy and press, Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:00pm ET, and cannot see orders. For tracking or refunds on a placed order, call +1 (302) 200-3480 or email [email protected].

Call your vet first. Then report it to FDA on Form 1932a, emailed to [email protected], or call 1-888-FDA-VETS (FDA, Report Animal Drug Side Effects). Keep the bottle and packaging with the lot number (FDA, Report a Pet Food Complaint).
